Our mechanical team boasts extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining a wide range of systems, including material handling, wastewater systems, dryer and oven systems, chilled water systems, and space conditioning for process buildings. Additionally, ABP specializes in traditional HVAC, plumbing, and boiler systems, as well as piping and pumping distribution systems. Our comprehensive expertise enables us to effectively meet diverse engineering needs across multiple industries.
ABP ensures a comprehensive incorporation of space representation for the structure, HVAC systems, electrical components, and other crucial elements. This proactive approach minimizes the need for significant redesigns during the detailed design phases, thus optimizing efficiency and overall project success.
ABP coordinates the client’s input into the beginning stages of design to develop ‘early’ options and decisions, minimizing wasted efforts and maximizing the yield of design for engineering dollars expended. Once an option/direction is identified, engineers work with designers to bring the project to life through a 3-D model representation.
With our expanded in-house ability to conduct 3-D laser scanning, ABP can accurately capture the existing conditions and equipment, creating detailed point cloud representations. Scans are used to integrate existing equipment, structure, piping, and electrical components, allowing for swift identification of benefits and drawbacks in real time to streamline decision-making, save time, and reduce costs.
PIPING ENGINEERING
ABP’s multi-disciplined Design Team possesses extensive expertise in creating distribution piping configurations. Careful management of pipe racks during the preliminary design stage is essential for accommodating future expansion. Our adept Team has a wealth of experience in designing pipe racks that can be either ‘pre-loaded’ and placed or ‘loaded-as-built.' Both methods offer distinct advantages and can significantly influence the overall cost of projects with significant piping requirements.
Our design team is proficient at extracting ‘no-touch’ piping ISO’s that allow for prefabrication of pipe and assist in field fabricated piping. Our team can customize pipe hangers and pipe anchors as required by the stress analysis design and incorporate them into the structural design.
PROCESS ENGINEERING
ABP Engineering is proud to offer an experienced team that excels in project development from the early phases. Our expertise lies in defining mass flow and energy balances, as well as evaluating and defining plant utilities sizing. Additionally, our knowledgeable team can adeptly showcase material handling and fluid flow systems on a comprehensive Process Flow Diagram (PFD), which serves as the foundation for any project. We specialize in developing options for plant layouts, including defining structures/buildings, bulk material handling systems, heat transfer systems, and the handling of process discharges (airborne, heat exchange, or fluid). Furthermore, our engineers are well-versed in aiding with the development of Process Hazard Analysis and Process Safety Management Guidelines for new plant operations.
